Last Stand at Butte City
Invisible period cleanup and additions across eleven feature shots
Invisible VFX for the feature Last Stand at Butte City — modern intrusions painted out of a period frontier setting, a fenceline built into the plate, and a muzzle flash added where none was shot.
The blood stain was added, not removed — matched across two shot sizes.
The setting is a period frontier, and the plates were shot with modern things in them. Most of the job was taking those out: ridge buildings and a dirt track, a pale outbuilding on a hillside, a modern car on the horizon, a blanket on the street, debris on the trail. The rest was putting things in — a period-correct wire fenceline built into the plate, a flock of birds in the distance, flash and recoil on a fired rifle where none was shot.
Every shot appears twice, once as the plate and once as what shipped; move across the frame and the seam shows the difference. The blood stain is the one addition worth a close look: the same stain in two shots, matched across two shot sizes. The target throughout was zero noticeable edits.
