Icarus
Screen graphics tracked into live plates for a feature film
Screen graphics as the deliverable for a feature film — a book-cover and handset replacement tracked into live plates, plus six shots of text threads, news cards, and long-form copy set into moving rooms.
A published book jacket replaced with a fictional one, tracked to a book in motion.
On Icarus the screen graphics are the deliverable. Two shots are replacements: a published book jacket swapped for a fictional one and tracked to a book in motion, and a handset screen replaced while the phone is in hand. The rest are graphics set into moving rooms — a text thread, a news card tracked to the sheets, long-form copy held in space, a reply typed against a moving figure, and a conversation staged across the frame.
The book cover and the handset play as wipes, plate against comp: move across the frame and you see exactly what was replaced. The other graphics play as loops, with one take shown twice, early and further in. Each graphic is camera-tracked to the plate it sits in.
