Aish Divine — BBC
Webby-nominated music video VFX — 3D, compositing, camera tracking
VFX, compositing, and camera tracking for Aish Divine's Webby-nominated music video 'BBC' — a qawwali-infused banger about brown sexuality.
A monster composited into the city with the practical CRT tracked in Mocha.
The VFX on “BBC” combines camera tracking, keying, 3D and compositing in After Effects. The opening is a camera-tracked shot with the city rebuilt around it. A monster is composited into that city: the Godzilla costume keyed against black and set into the plate, dancing in one shot, with a destruction pass over the skyline in another.
Broadcast-style graphics are comp work too: a show-open title in broadcast-grade type, a test card, and news lower thirds on alpha. A practical CRT screen was tracked in Mocha. The reel runs two minutes and takes each shot apart, and three timelapses show the sessions for the set track, the test card and the news graphics.
