The ask:
Create a social media campaign to promote HBO's documentary film directed by Asif Kapadia about the Argentine footballer Diego Maradona with never before seen archival footage. It was screened out of competition at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
The solve:
Capitalize on the documentary's never before seen footage, create an atmosphere of layered fascination. Lean into the dated footage, make layouts and designs that look like the same era, strong CRT television monitor look & feel.
Capture the spirit of the streets of Argentina and the excitement and spectacle of watching one of the greatest athletes in history.
